Meet-up & Symposium

Pause/Play was a community meetup that addresses how artists and cultural practitioners work, live and adapt to crises.

This meetup explored how artists and cultural practitioners work, live and adapt to crises in the context of socio-political issues in the South Caucasus. Talks by artists and activists focused on tactics and strategies of adaptation to radical political changes, as well as the effects of the war in Ukraine, and also addressed topics such as the radicalisation of the political situation in Russia and its effects on the artistic practice and the activist scenes in Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus. The speakers shared their own experiences in community-building during turbulent times and spoke out about the importance of regional solidarity.
