A Durational Performance is a live, workshop-based improvisation by Mark Fell & Rian Treanor questioning group dynamics and other factors that shape the art of performing spontaneously with multiple participants.
Mark Fell and Rian Treanor invite workshop participants – artists from various disciplines, not just electronic music – to explore group dynamics through radical procedural systems. Together the group interrogates different modes of performance by using voice, movement, projection, acoustic sound, and objects. Blending practical, hands-on exercises and activities with theory and discussion, A Durational Performance questions how diverse factors affect performance, from physical spaces and performer relationships, to timeframes and instrumentation.
