„When The Music Is Over“ is part of a two-part project by Viennese artist Andreas Trobollowitsch, and was presented site-specifically adapted in the outdoor and indoor area of the Forum Stadtpark. The content of the installation deals with the topic of climate change and the finiteness of earthly resources. Part 1 of the installation, entitled “Melt In Peace”, consists of an ice sculpture in the shape of a drummer bending over a snare drum. The successive melting of the ice creates drops of water, which hit the skin of the snare drum, first creating beats, until finally the two drum sticks themselves fall onto the snare drum and provide the final sound of the installation.
