Mark Fell and Rian Treanor – Performance and Procedure Workshop
Mark Fell and Rian Treanor invite artists to join a performance workshop at BEK in Bergen, Norway.
The workshop will explore group dynamics using procedural systems. This workshop hopes to bring together artists working a wide variety of different practices – not only electronic music. This could be voice, movement, projection, acoustic sound, objects, etc. Participants will look at performance as a procedure, developing, exploring and interrogating different modes of performance, as well as question how diverse factors affect performance, from physical spaces to performer relationships, timeframes to instrumentation. The session will include discussion, planning, performance, and analysis and lead to a further performance later in June in Bergen. Participants are required to be technically “self-sufficient”, so if you use video projection, bring a projector, or if you use electronic sound, bring cables and a speaker. If you have equipment needs you can ask BEK for help with certain items – please contact resources@bek.no no later than 27 May.
Time: Sunday, 2 June, 15:00–18:00.
Place: BEK, C. Sundts gate 55, Bergen Norway
Sign-up: Sign up via this form by 27 May.
The workshop is free and will be held in English.
The workshop was organised by BEK in cooperation with Ekko.
