Ràdio Web MACBA

Ràdio Web MACBA (RWM) is a radiophonic project from MACBA that explores the possibilities of the internet and radio as spaces of synthesis and exhibition. Founded in 2006, this laboratory of orality and sound publishes weekly podcasts on subjects at the intersection of critical thinking, contemporary art, activism, philosophy, sound, and everything in between.

RWM output branches out to multiple lines:

Son[i]a line presents in-depth interviews with artists, curators, critics, activists, and thinkers, on a range of topics ranging from art to philosophy, by way of politics, activism, artistic research, music, and film, and everything in between.

Specials line presents projects by artists and curators who are connected to the museum’s programming, the MACBA Collection, or related to radiophonic projects.-Research: Explores some of the key moments and figures in the contemporary sound world

Curatorial is a programming line that explores sound art through specifically commissioned works by artists.
